Why should I participate in this course?
This Level 3 course quantifies the supervisory and managerial skills required by the groundsman to manage and control the resources on the racecourse. Plus, demonstrate the management techniques and processes required by the groundsman to produce a safe and consistent racing surface. On completion of course you will also receive a Certificate of Attendance. This course is worth 15 CPD points / 15 CPD hours.
What can I do after this course?
To further build on the GMA route, undertake the Level 3 GMA Technical Diploma in Turf Surface Management – or Level 3 GMA Supervisory Management – providing formal qualifications in different aspects of turf management. These qualifications may be beneficial for people who have completed other courses at Level 3 who wish to further develop their understanding of the technical aspects of turf management or leadership and management skills. No practical work is involved with these qualifications.

The key subjects - good working practices, turf standards, risk assessments, to basic equipment requirements, plus more are studied through a progressive one-day GMA Learning course. Delivered by an industry expert, this will provide you with an overview of the knowledge and understanding needed to carry out a range of effective turf maintenance and turf management practices. In addition, you will also receive a Certificate of Attendance. (Food and drink are provided).

This Level 2 course has been specifically designed for independent schools. The course helps provide a focused overview of the core areas of turf maintenance and management involved with looking after grounds, playing fields and sports pitches. It will provide you with ideas for reflecting on your current maintenance practices and whether different working practices and approaches might help in improving the effectiveness of available resource use. This course is worth 5 CPD points / 5 CPD hours.

Delivered by an industry expert, this is a course which explores and discusses the needs of the management of a school's grounds and shows how this can be achieved. Why should I participate in this course?
This Level 3 course has been specifically designed for independent schools and as a direct progression course from the Level 2 Grounds: Maintenance & Management. The course helps you to consider the wider picture of what is needed to manage a grounds - including amenity and sports surfaces as well as ornamental plantings. Being able to create a formal management plan which clearly identifies the work required, resources needed and budget to meet the needs of defined standards plan is an essential part of helping senior management make well-informed decisions regards grounds management. This course is worth 5 CPD points / 5 CPD hours.
