What is involved within this course?
The key subjects – health and safety, pesticides and tools, plus more – are studied through a progressive five-day GMA Learning course. Delivered by an industry expert, make better informed decisions to determine the effectiveness of your maintenance. This course has been developed by the Grounds Management Association in conjunction with The Racecourse Association Limited. (Food, drink & accommodation is provided). 

What does the course content cover?
Some of the key subjects:
• Health and safety requirements - the course
• Construction profiles and drainage
• Evaluation of nutrient analysis records
• Assessment and identification for grass species
• Pesticides available to assist in the maintenance

Why should I participate in this course?
This Level 2 course will demonstrate and apply the theory required to understand the science of racecourse grounds maintenance. The course is designed to be of equal benefit to the person working alone in a small racecourse club, as it is to a person working as one of a larger team. On completion of this ground step, and following an exam, you will also receive a Certificate of Achievement. This course is worth 25 CPD points / 25 CPD hours

To further build on the GMA route, enhance your learning by taking your next grade with Level 3 Racecourse (Management Skills).

GMA members pay: £2,135.00 (incl. VAT)
